Sauce Swap in Bahrain!

One of the best things about travel is meeting people...especially when it's another hot Sauce Producer! 

If i'm travelling somewhere I always take a look to see if there's a hot sauce maker in the area. I usually reach out to them on Instagram and see if they would be happy to meet up and for a sauce swap!

As we were travelling through Bahrain for just a couple of days, I reached out to Abdullah.... aka The Hot Sauce Guy and he quickly responded to say he would be happy to meet me!

Abdullah was so kind, he didn't just meet up, he picked us up from the Airport and was even happy to wait whilst we sorted our bags (long story short... they checked them though to Bangkok although we were staying in Bahrain overnight so we had to get them offloaded).

We dropped our bags at the hotel and headed off to a place called The Avenues and to a steakhouse. Here we got to try out a couple of 'The Hot Sauce Guy's' sauces - the classic (original) which has a simple but equally perfectly balanced ingredients with chilli peppers, natural vinegar and pink Himalayan salt. We then tried a spicier and limited release sauce - just perfect on a steak!

Abdullah tried our award winning YoYo original Asian style Ginger Chili Sauce and also our Luang Prabang Special which is currently our hottest sauce. After a wonderful meal eating outside in the dry warm climate of Bahrain, Abdullah was kind enough to drop us back at our hotel. 

We were then gifted another four sauces! including Mango Madness & a Smokey hot sauce made with hardwood-smoked chilli peppers.

It was a real pleasure to meet with Abdullah aka the Hot Sauce Guy and we hope to meet up again sometime, whether that's in Bahrain, London or even Yorkshire!
